Udupi, Jan 14: Infant Mary’s School Perampalli celebrated its annual day celebration at the school grounds, here on January 13.
Speaking on the occasion, Sr Linette D’Souza of Ursuline Franciscan Sister’s mentioned that education is the basic need for all. The school has to travel miles before it reaches its aim of education the people of Perampalli. Failures are lessons for the future success. We should not worry about the failure and move ahead in life, she added.
Ramesh Naik said that education is constantly evolving and has undergone a sea change from what it used to be some years back. He urged the students to take part in extra curricular activities.
Fr Baspist Menezes, Episcopal Vicar of Udupi, honoured the sponsors of the programme. In his presidential address he expressed his gratitude for all those who helped and contributed in the development of the school.
Fr Romeo Lewis, parish- priest, welcomed the gathering. Sr Irene, head-mistress, read a brief annual report of the past two years. Anusha and Pratrviraj proposed the vote of thanks.
Students of from Balavadi to seventh standard performed variety entertainment and cultural programme. Tulu drama ‘Devadas Kapikad’ was staged on the occasion. Fr Romeo Lewis felicitated Devadas.

Fr Romeo Lewis, correspondent of the school and the parish -priest of Perampalli church, Lentte D’Souza of Ursuline Franciscan Sister’s Mangalore, Ramesh Naik, member of city municipality Udupi, Lancy D’Sa vice- president of parish council, Joseph D’Souza secretary of parish council, Mebal D’Souza president PTA of the school and Sr Irene Rodrigues, head-mistress among others were present.
