Mangalore, Jan 9: "Bharatanatyam cannot be considered as instant coffee of today’s busy life. It is an art. Hardwork, patience, and guidance together lead us in acquiring that gift," said Ganapathy High School head teacher Mangesh Bhat.

He was speaking after inaugurating Bharatanatyam classes by dance teacher Chithrakala Shetty at Akasha Bhavana in city on Friday January 7. Infancy is very valuable in everybody’s life. We get right opportunity to frame our personality. Children are brilliant by birth. Proper guidance will bring out their talent, he added.

Ranga Bharati director K V Raman who presided over the programme wished all success for Durgamba Nrithya Kala Niketana.

Speaking on the occasion, Vidwan Manjula Subrahmanya said that Bharatanatyam as an art does require motivation by various unions and government institutions. Bharatanatyam should be taught step by step, she added.
