Mangalore, Jan 6: Students of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy welcomed the New Year with a bang by celebrating ‘Freshers’ Day’ at Lobo’s River View, Morgans Gate here, on Wednesday January 5.

The students enjoyed the rhythmic beats of popular songs and welcomed the New Year dressed in stylish outfits.

Dr M Ramgopal Shetty, chairman, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, was the chief guest and distributed roses to fresher students on the occasion and welcomed them.

Prof Hima Urmila Shetty, trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, delivered the keynote address.

Dr Ranjith Shetty, trustee, Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Mangalore, Prof Sandeep J Nayak, principal, Dr M V Shetty Institute of Technology, Prof Chandrashekar Shetty, and Dr Susan Varghese, principal, Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, were the guests
of honor. A sumptous dinner was served later.
