Mangaluru: Carmel School (CBSE) organizes workshop on career guidance

Mangaluru, Feb 14: Carmel School (CBSE), Mangaluru organized a Workshop on Career Guidance in collaboration with Lions Club, Kadri Hills, Mangaluru for the students of Class 10 on February 8, 2022 in the School Auditorium. The programme began with a prayer dance followed by the lighting of lamp and welcoming the gathering.

Jagadish Pai (The president of Lions’ Club) Geeta R Rao (Lions district joint secretary), Vidya Kamath (treasurer), Ashok Kamath, professor Ronald Pinto (resource person), professor Rajeshwari Shetty (resource person) Sr Sarika, the principal, were present on the dais.

Geetha R Rao addressed the students briefing them about the foundation of the Lions Club and she emphasized on the role of the Leo Club for the development of leadership qualities and the service to human society.

Jagadish Pai, in his message called upon the students to develop the leadership qualities and chase their dreams.

Sister Sarika, the principal, motivated the students to make the best use of the opportunity given and make the right decision for a bright future. She also thanked the members of the Lions Club, Kadri Hills, Mangaluru for organizing the workshop in the

The session was continued by professor Ronald Pinto and professor Rajeshwari Shetty. Professor Ronald Pinto opened the world of career options for the students. He also stressed upon the attitude and aptitude required to persue in any field of one’s choice.

Professor Rajeshwari Shetty helped the students to know the importance of goal setting and various steps to be followed to reach the goals set. She also stressed upon the various factors responsible for demotivation in setting one’s goal.

The programme was compered by Liffin Saldanha.The gathering was welcomed by Deepthi and vote of thanks was proposed by Kausalya and SPL Anika Patrao.
