Mangalore, Dec 30: The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the KSRTC Staff and Workers Federation will hold a daylong protest here on January 24, demanding the KSRTC management to inquire into the charges made by the federation against Mangalore divisional controller and take suitable action against him.

In a release, general secretary H V Ananthasubba Rao stated the federation had submitted a detailed memorandum to the management on August 25 this year and had subsequently followed up with RTI application. The federation also demanded a thorough investigation into the charges by a joint committee of the management and federation. However, management has been maintaining silence, he noted.

He stated that the CEC which met at Bangalore on Wednesday December 29 regretted the indifference shown by the KSRTC management towards alleged corrupt practices and disruptive activities of the divisional controller Karumbaiah. He added that the federation took up the issue of corruption as he had allegedly started victimizing and threatening cadres of the federation.

However, Karumbaiah said that he has not lodged any complaints against federation members and whatever action taken was against the KSRTC staff and not federation members according to rules under Cadre and Discipline regulation.
