Mysuru: KCA celebrates Christmas 2024, decennial celebration of Konkan Bhavan

Mysuru, Dec 26: The Konkani Christian Association (KCA) of Mysuru celebrated ‘Christmas 2024’ and ‘Decennial Celebration’ of Konkan Bhavan on December 22 at their prominent Konkan Bhavan, Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru.

The programme began with concelebrating the Konkani Mass by 11 priests with great fervour and ardour which was followed by a public function.

Fr Anjelo Pais is celebrating his golden jubilee of Priestly Ordination this year, he was honoured by the association on this occasion.

Monetary support of Rs 50,000 was rendered to ODP Mysuru to support their project cancer patient’s treatment which they are running every year. Also, monetary medical aid of Rs 25,000 rendered to Sneha Bindu Charitable trust Mysuru to support sick patients, also Rs 25,000 aid provided to a poor person who is on wheel chair undergoing treatment.

On the occasion, the KCA honoured Vinod Crasto, being elected as president of ‘Kundapura Urban Development Authority’ and also honoured Merwin Lobo, being appointed as member of Karnataka Development Programme (KDP), Virajpet taluk, Kodagu district.

Joyce Sequeira, gen secretary of KCA Mysuru welcomed the gathering, John William D’Souza honoured the honourees, Anil Saldanha, treasurer and Joyce Sequeira distributed the cheques, Sylvester D’Mello read out the biodata of honourees, and Vincent D’Souza compered the programme.
