Riyadh: Indian Social Forum conducts final rites of Koppa origin youth

Riyadh, Feb 5: Indian Social Forum helped in holding the burial of a youth of Koppa, Karnataka origin, who died of cardiac arrest in Saudi Arabia.

Momin Mumtaz (30), resident of Koppa was working as a driver in a private company of Riyadh for the past eight years. He died of cardiac arrest in his car on February 2. His relatives Noor Ahmed Hussain Abdul Rehman approached members of Indian Social Forum to conduct his final rites.

Team of Indian Social Forum led by Nizam Bajpe responded immediately and approached the local government offices as per Saudi law and got the death certificate that Momin died of natural causes. Later, the members contacted Indian embassy in Riyadh and relatives of Momin back in India to collect the mortal remains of Momin. Power of attorney letter was done in the name of Noor Ahmed Hussain Abdul Rehman, relative of deceased Momin. The mortal remains of Momin were brought from the hospital and final rites were held in Al Razi Masjid of Riyadh on Friday and he was buried in the presence of his relatives and members of ISF.

Executive committee of ISF Karnataka extended its heartfelt condolences to the family members on the untimely demise of Momin. The family members of deceased Momin expressed their gratitude to the noble deed of ISF.
