Puttur: Inauguration of Junior Red Cross Unit at St Philomena P U College

Puttur, Feb 5: Junior Red Cross Unit was inaugurated at St Philomena PU College, Puttur on February 4, 2022.

The unit was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.

The chief guest, Edwin D'Souza, dept of Chemistry, St Philomena College, Puttur gave a brief introduction about the origin of Red Cross, the fundamental principles and enlightened students about the activities to be conducted in the unit.

The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo, St Philomena P.U.College, Puttur in his presidential remarks said that this unit will help students to develop the quality of humanity. The duty of the Red Cross Unit members is to serve people during the disasters like flood, earthquake and landslide. He advised students to take active part in all the activities.

The programme was organized by Jyothi M, coordinator of the unit.

Sanjana Rao of I HEPS welcomed, proposed vote of thanks and compered the programme.
