Mangaluru, Jan 21: Dr Grynal D’Mello currently working as assistant professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAM Institute of Technology will receive the honor of ‘Special Mention of the Jury for the year 2020’ under the BITES Best PhD Thesis Award 2020 for his PhD thesis entitled ‘Surface roughness modeling and optimization in titanium based alloys using vibration in high speed machining’ by Board for IT Education Standards (BITES), Bengaluru.
His PhD was completed under the supervision of Dr Srinivasa Pai P, professor and head, department of Mechanical Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte, who will also receive an award for the same as research supervisor. The Board for IT Education Standards (BITES) is an autonomous body and a non-profit society promoted by the Government of Karnataka, in association with educational institutions and IT Industries in Karnataka, in order to enhance the quality of IT education and help build quality manpower for the IT industry.
Set up in June 2000, BITES is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organisation. The award ceremony will be organized by BITES shortly.
