Mangaluru: Christmas celebration at Ladyhill English Primary School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jan 14: Soaking in the Christmas spirit, the generous contribution made by our students' parents was shared among the needy, orphanages, and old age homes to uphold the concept of the festive season, 'a time for giving and sharing with the love of Christ.'

On the occasion of Christmas, the students of class 1 and 5 presented a beautiful programme on December 23 with gaiety. The programme began with the Christmas prayer service and melodious carols were sung by the Carmel blossoms. The students showcased a skit on joy of giving. The students enthusiastically participated and enacted the nativity scene and presented the various Christmas symbols.

The children were ecstatic! Santa too thoroughly enjoyed the attention. The programme ended with a message from the headmistress Sr Maisie A C to the students to spread the essence of Christmas with love and solidarity.

The children carried home the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure and pride of spreading peace, true to the spirit of the celebration. To mark the festive occasion of Christmas and new year various competitions were held for the students of class 1 to 7. The response for the competition over-whelming and each competition was unique and beautiful showing the interest and creativity of each student.

Based on the judging criteria first three places and consolation prizes were awarded to the participant.
