Mangaluru, Dec 22: On December 22, the students of Nazareth School gathered to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with a meaningful programme.
The programme began by the school choir, invoking God’s blessings on everyone gathered. The tiny tots of kindergarten and students of Grade 1 performed a beautiful dance and action songs and entertained the audience.
Students depicted the story of Son of God becoming a man on this earth through the live tableau. The band display on carols was brilliantly presented by the school band under the guidance of Prem, the band master.
The finale of the day was the arrival of Santa Clause accompanied by the baby Santas. Santa mingled with the audience and amused everyone with his charm.
Fr Bonaventure Nazareth, parish priest of Milagres Church and manager of Milagres College presided over the function. On his message, first of all he congratulated and appreciated all the staff and participants for the meaningful and colourful programme. He also encouraged and motivated with his words of wisdom and to give more than receiving.
And that is the apt Christmas gift sharing with one another. The little tiny tots had the joy of receiving the prizes for various competitions from the chief guest. Sr Marceline D'Souza, the correspondent, Sr Mariet DCunha the principal added colour by their presence.
Sneha and Ishaan of Grade 8 welcomed the gathering, Calista of Grade 7 proposed the vote of thanks. Leon of Grade 9 and Michelle of Grade 8 compeered the programme.
The children carried the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure and pride of spreading peace to one and all.
