Mangaluru: Constitution Day celebrated at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Nov 26: In order to commemorate the day of adoption of our Constitution, the 'Samvidhan Diwas' or 'Constitution Day' was celebrated in our school while the school also remembered and honoured the father of Indian Constitution, Dr B R Ambedkar.

The students of class VI and VII led the celebration through a prayer service. The students emphasized the importance of the Constitution Day, the significance of its celebration and commemorated the people who contributed to the development of the Indian Constitution.

The Preamble of Indian Constitution which is, India to be a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic aiming to secure justice, liberty, equality to all citizens and promote fraternity to maintain unity and integrity of the nation were explained to the students. It was made known to them that these rights are necessity and are not a privilege. The guiding values mentioned in the Preamble were explained to the students through the PPT.

All the students and the teachers reaffirmed their commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge. The students were urged to abide by the Constitution and feel proud to be a citizen of a great country. The celebration concluded by singing the National Anthem.
