Mangaluru: College of Physiotherapy Srinivas University holds 'Freshers' Fair'

Mangaluru, Nov 18: College of Physiotherapy under the banner of Srinivas University conducted the fifth Fresher’s Fair 2021-22 on November 18, 2021 at Srinivas Hotel, GHS Road, Mangaluru for BPT, DPT and MPT courses. Students and parents from different parts of the country had gathered for the function.

Invited dignitaries, Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University and vice president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, director, Srinivas Group of Colleges and Dr A Mitra S Rao, secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, Dr P S Aithal, vice-chancellor, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Dr Ajay Kumar Registrar Development, Srinivas University, Mangaluru and Dr S Rajasekar, dean, College of Physiotherapy, Mangaluru graced the event with their presence.

Dignitaries were escorted to the dais by the faculties. The programme commenced with the 'Saraswathi Vandanam', and was followed by the lamp lighting by the guest of honour and fresher students.

Welcome address was given by Dr Thrishala Noronha, associate professor College of physiotherapy and the dignitaries were florally welcomed by faculties.

Presidential address was delivered by Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor, Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru, who was sharing his experience on Physiotherapy and emphasized the importance of Physiotherapy and its upcoming role in society. Dr A Srinivas Rao, pro-chancellor, Srinivas University and vice-president of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru welcomed the fresher students and delivered his words of wisdom on importance of physiotherapy.

Dr A Mitra S Rao, secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangaluru had a friendly interaction with students and emphasized on the importance of learning languages and maintaining patience in serving humanity.

A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, director, Srinivas Group of Colleges shared her personal experience on effectiveness on physiotherapy treatment with the students. Dr Ajay Kumar registrar, Development, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, welcomed all parents and students and gave motivation and guidance through his words.

Dr PS Aithal vice chancellor Srinivas university motivated the students with his enlightening words and assured the students that they had made the right choice of choosing physiotherapy as their profession.

Course briefing was done by Dr S Rajasekar dean, College of Physiotherapy Mangaluru who gave a detailed idea on the outline of the courses and curriculum. He also added on the rules and regulations to be followed by the students. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr Jeyaganesh V, assistant professor college of physiotherapy.

The formal event concluded with the National Anthem and lunch for staff, students and parents. An interactive session was organised exclusively among the fresher students and seniors with the respective class coordinators monitoring the session .
