Karkala: Freshers' Orientation Day held at NMAMIT

Karkala, Nov 9: The Fresher’s Orientation 2021-22 was inaugurated on Tuesday November 9 at Sambhram Auditorium, NET campus, Nitte.

The chief guest of the programme N Shashi Kumar IPS, commissioner of police, Mangaluru inaugurated the programme and spoke on the topic ‘Struggle to Success’. He elaborated his speech by briefing the students about the competitive examination conducted by government and private sectors. He gave guidance to all the students on how to prepare ourselves to succeed.

The programme was followed by an interactive session and he concluded by saying ‘Self help is best help’. The guest of honor Prof Niranjan N Chiplunkar, principal, NMAMIT, Nitte addressed the gathering by saying ‘All courses are equally important. Each course has its own value and importance and we must love the course we choose.

The president of the event Yogeesh Hegde, registrar, NET campus, Nitte spoke on the occasion by briefing students on ‘How Education is not only about getting graduated, it is also about how we respect our cultures and traditions’. He also said that in student life education is the most important thing and he briefed about the opportunities available at Nitte for further graduation.

Dr Veena B K, principal, NSAM First Grade College welcomed and introduced the guests to the gathering. She spoke by giving an introduction about Nitte Education Trust to new entrant students. Ramesh M, student welfare officer rendered the vote of thanks.
