Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrates Karnataka Rajyotsava

Mangaluru, Nov 2: Lourdes Central school (LCS) celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsavawith due respect pomp and fervour at LCS grounds on Monday November 1. The chief guests were principal Fr Robert D'Souza, vice principal Belita Mascarenhas and Fr Anush Dcunha.

The students of class IX conducted the full programme. Gauthami and Shreya Arbi of Class IX B hosted the programme. Staff of LCS sang the prayer song. Pragathi of Class IXB welcomed the gathering.

The teachers sang the Naada Geethe, Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate melodiously followed by a mesmerising dance by students of Class IX B for Kannada medley song. Diya N Yashodar of Class IX B spoke on the importance of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

The winners of the Kannada mono acting presented their talents and won the hearts of the audience. Principal Fr Robert D'Souza spoke on the occasion and appreciated all the efforts of the students and staff. He spoke the beauty of the land of Karnataka, its achievements and fame. He spoke on the sad demise of actor Puneeth Raj kumar and his good deeds.

The programmecame to end by vote of thanks by Vamshitha Shetty of Class VIII B.

The whole programme was conducted in Kannada and ended with beautiful Kannada song which created an ambience and devotion dedicated to the land of Karnataka.
