JEDDAH, Nov 4(Arab News): The first phase of a major cleaning campaign will be launched in Jeddah’s historic region of Balad on Thursday.
The campaign, organized by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, Jeddah Mayoralty and Saudi Environment Society, will be carried out with the support of a large number of young Saudi volunteers.
All historic buildings in the area will be cleaned, said Majeda Aburas, acting deputy executive director of the society.
