Mangaluru: Autorickshaw accident in Konaje; Kumble resident dies

Mangaluru, Nov 24: A tragic autorickshaw accident claimed the life of the driver at Kalkar in Konaje on Sunday, November 24 evening.

The deceased has been identified as Narayana Gatti (50), a resident of Manjanthadka in Kumble. Narayana had traveled in a private autorickshaw from Kumble to attend a relative's birthday celebration near Kolya Adka. After dropping off relatives at Kalkar in Konaje, he was returning when the incident occurred.

While descending the slope in Kalkar, the autorickshaw experienced brake failure and crashed into a tree. The accident resulted in minor injuries to a woman, her son, and another passenger who were inside the vehicle.

Narayana Gatti is survived by his wife and two sons. A case has been registered at the Mangaluru South traffic police station.

    Most of the times they dont care about mechanical parts of the vehicle. they runn it for years and never look into the wellbeing of vehicle

    Not even a day pass of without the news of an accident. Please drive carefully I feel very sad when I hear a news of an accident because they are completely preventable Please I request all to be very careful when driving I am feeling sad
