Mangaluru: Hindi Divas observed at St Agnes CBSE School

Mangaluru, Sep 15: Hindi Divas is observed in India every year on September 14 to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as the official language of India on 14th September 1949. On the 50th birthday of Beohar Rajendra Simha, a notable Hindi writer who was born on 14th September 1900. Hindi was adopted as official language of Republic of India. Mr Simha played a crucial role in crusading for the adoption of Hindi as the official language.

Hindi Divas is a day that gives Hindi its due recognition and is celebrated to save it from getting extinct. Today, Hindi is the 4th most spoken language in the world.Some major awards like Rajbasha Gaurav Award, Official Language Award and Rajbasha Kirti Puraskar are distributed on Hindi Divas. Many schools and colleges perform various events to commemorate this day.

The students and teachers of St Agnes came together to celebrate this day by putting in their best talents and efforts. The students gave a virtual programme of prayer song, significance of the day, inspirational song to mark the importance. The Hindi teachers of our school presented a short programme of welcome and lighting of lamp by the sisters and teachers. A number of events too were organised for the students.

The management, the administrator, principal and the staff congratulate all the winners for their best efforts and extended a big thank you to all the parents for their constant support and encouragement to the students for bringing out the best.

The programme was a success because of all the hard work put by Hindi teachers Madhura, Deekshitha, Shalet, Manisha, Sumitra and Savitha.
