Mangaluru: Schools to reopen in district from Sep 17

Mangaluru, Sep 14: The district administration has permitted the reopening of schools for classes 8, 9 and 10 from September 17 and for the classes 6 and 7 from September 20.

The order issued by the deputy commissioner stated that the responsibility of following the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour will be given to the school administration or to the headmaster of the school.

“Proper sanitation facilities and basic facilities should be arranged. The concerned schools should make arrangements of accommodation for students arriving from the Kerala state or arrangements should be made for their online classes.

“The Deputy Director of Public Instructions should direct that the educational institutions should not force parents to pay fees.

“All teachers and staff of the school should attend the school with RT-PCR negative report.

“Those teachers and the staff coming to schools in the district, should receive the second dose of Covid vaccine and bring a negative RT-PCR test once in 7 days,” stated the order.

    Neither government nor the school administration is ready to take responsibility for our children during offline classes. This is the reason they ask for parents letter. How can parents monitor their children in school. Dont expect children to follow covid protocol when schools themselves don't follow the protocol. They only want fees. So parents should Decide finally what is good for their children safety.Hasty Decisions can prove dangerous.
