Bengaluru, Sep 14: State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel, mocking the Congress party for undertaking bullock cart procession here against inflation on Monday September 13, stated that the bullocks have survived because the fact that the BJP is ruling. He said that if the Congress was in power, these bullocks would have been sent to slaughterhouses.
Deviating from the issue, he unexpectedly spoke about the eviction of temples in Nanjangud. He said that the system is compelled to obey the Supreme Court order. At the same time, he noted that there is a need to conserve religious centres. Therefore, he said the matter would be discussed with the government before a decision is taken.
Minister Sudhakar, speaking to the media at the Vidhana Soudha about the bullock cart protests organized by the Congress leaders to protest against price rise, had commented that instead of creating problems for the cattle by riding on bullock carts, the leaders could have chosen bicycle instead to drive home their point.
