Gadag, Sep 11: In an accident which happened near Mughalakhod in Chimmada Haddi on Mahalingapura - Rabakavi road in Banahatti taluk in the district on Sunday September 9, a young man lost his life. The accident happened within the limits of Banahatti police station.

The victim was Balayya Kadayya Katti (27) from Somwarpet, Banahatti. It is said that recklessness on the part of Balayya when driving the two-wheeler caused the accident. He lost control over the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He breathed his last when being taken to hospital.

Police circle inspector J Karanesh Gowda and sub-inspector Suresh Mantoor, visited the spot. Investigation is on.
