Udupi: Installation Ceremony of Newly-Elected Office Bearers of Kaup Zonal SKPA Held

Udupi, Oct 6: The installation ceremony of newly-elected office bearers of Kaup zonal - South Kanara Photographers’ Association (SKPA) was held at Rotary Bhavan, Kaup near here on Tuesday October 5.

Shirva sub-inspector K R Nayak inaugurated the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, sub-inspector Nayak said that there lies close relations between photographers and the police, since the pictures of crime spot help in breakthrough of such cases. The courts also consider the proof of pictures in announcing verdict on criminal cases, thereby facilitate in bringing justice to the victims, said Nayak.

Further, sub-inspector Nayak assured the co-operation of police to the photographers for mutual benefits.

Kurkal Dinakar Shetty, president of Udupi Teachers’ Co-operative Bank felicitated the award winner photographers Hemanath Padubidri and Wilson D’Souza Shirva during the programme.

SKPA central committee president Shivaram Kadaba presided.

The city’s Photo Palace proprietor Dasappa Puthran, SKPA central committee vice-president Vasudev Rao, secretary Jagdish Jain, treasurer B Damodar, Kaup zonal past honorary president Subramanya
Aithal, newly-elected honorary president Bhakta Prasad, newly-elected president Praveen Kumar, secretary Pramod Suvarna, treasurer Dinesh, past treasurer Ravi Kumar were present at the dais.

Past president Krishna Rao welcomed. Secretary Srinivas Aithal presented the annual report.
