Udupi: New Edition of Shri Mahalasa Narayani's Charitra Released

Udupi, Oct 5: After the complete sell-out of its earlier three editions, the new edition of Shri Mahalasa Narayani’s Charitra in Kannada was released at a small function at Shri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra at Harikhandige here on Monday October 4. The popular book, a must-have for every household where Shri Mahalasa Narayani is worshipped, has been authored by Guruji Shri Suresh J Pai of Shri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra.

Sandhya Pai, editor of popular Kannada weekly Taranga, released the book. Pai said that she had already read an earlier edition of the Charitra and found peace and relief after reading it. She also mentioned that she had gifted copies of the book to many people who have immensely benefited from it.

Guruji Suresh Pai said that the Charitra was ordered to be written by Shri Mahalasa Narayani herself. He said that the intention behind the book was not only spreading her message, but also that the devotees should accrue spiritual benefit out of it.

It has been recommended that Shri Mahalasa's Charitra Parayan be done during Navaratri to derive full benefit from it. By reading the Charitra, one can conquer his six internal enemies like lust, anger, greed and pride amogn others.

The Shukla Paksha of the holy month of Ashwin that is the Navaratri happens to be an auspicious occasion to adore Goddess Mahalasa Narayani. She can be worshipped through recitation of Her Charitra and Sahasranama. Through reading these, we can get rid of all doshas and fulfil our desires. Besides one can also attain her grace and attain peace and happiness.
