Beltangady: Man electrocuted after coming in contact with live wire lying on road

Beltangady, Aug 7: In a tragic incident that occurred on the morning of Saturday, August 7, at Poyya of Padmunja village of the taluk, a man got electrocuted as he accidentally stepped on a live electric wire which had fallen on the road.

Nanyappa Poojary (55), a daily wage labourer, is the unfortunate victim of this incident.

He was going to a chicken shop in Uppinangady at around 6.30 am where he works.

Passers-by who saw Nanyappa lying motionless on the road, informed the matter to his family. The deceased is survived by wife Keshavati, daughter Deekshita, sons Deekshith and Rakshith.
