Mangaluru, Aug 7: PU examination board has instructed all colleges to hold practical examinations for second PU students, who have rejected their results, before August 12. The other examinations will start from August 19.

Only regular students who have rejected their result which was recently announced by the Second PU examination board are allowed to take the practical examinations. Among the students, who have rejected their results, those who are fine with their practical examination scores announced by the board can stay out of the examination. For repeaters, the scores given for practical exams that are already announced are final. They do not have the opportunity to write the examination again.

Earlier the examination was held at various nearby colleges. However, this time around instructions are given to hold the examinations at the respective colleges itself. If the lecturer for the concerned subject is not available in the college, the same can be deputed from nearby college. The marks obtained by students should be registered in the computerized branch of central office. So the marks card and answer papers should be sent to the office of the district deputy director before August 13 and the same should reach PU board in Bengaluru before August 14.

Mariette Mascarenhas, in-charge deputy director of PU board, Dakshina Kannada district said, “The PU board has given instructions to hold practical exams for students at college level. Commerce students who have opted for computer science also have to attend the examination. For more information students are requested to contact their respective college.”
