Kundapur, Aug 6: The court has remanded to judicial custody till August 19, Dream Finance partner Anup Shetty, accused murderer of Dream Finance company proprietor Ajendra Shetty. The company is located at Kalavara-Asodu near Koteshwar at Kundapur taluk.

Police personnel had arrested Anoop Shetty at Goa recently and escorted to Kundapur in connection with the murder. As the accused was required in custody for questioning, he was produced before Kundapur first JMFC court on Monday. The judge who heard the prosecution arguments had granted his custody till August 9. Police had escorted the accused to Goa and had completed additional investigation at Goa. They had also conducted inquest and other investigation. He was produced in the court once again as the investigations were not completed.

It may be recalled, accused Anoop had murdered Ajendra as he could not tolerate his recent progress. Ajendra had bought a new car after his car met with an accident. He had also bought a tipper for his brother by bank loan. Anoop was jealous of it. Ajendra had started a chit business and Anoop had demanded a share for him in it. Ajendra was reluctant to make Anoop a party in his business. Anoop was annoyed with the refusal and brutally slit the throat of Ajendra in his finance company office on Friday, July 30.
