Mangaluru, Aug 3: St Aloysius Institute of Education, a leading college of Teacher Education organised a session on the topic of ‘Money Management. Sapna Shenoy, a member of the Canara Chambers of Commerce and Industry, was the resource person.
The resource person said, “Money issues go much beyond what we usually think about. We need to have a broader perspective of our finances so that we can enhance our savings. One shouldn’t merely spend after making money. We should have plans and future financial goals for establishing ourselves. This way we will build financial security for ourselves and fulfill our needs accordingly.”
The speaker focused on the most common and important aspects of individual financial management, namely, income generation, management of expenses, choosing the right avenue of investment, life and money management, budgeting in personal life, techniques of managing savings and financial freedom. The speaker also highlighted the importance of savings bank account, stocks, mutual funds, real estate and life insurance.
The session began with a welcome note by Divya Tulasi. The resource person responded to the queries of the participants. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Akshatha Menezes. Flavitha D’Souza compered the session.
