Mangaluru, Jul 23: The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, NMAMIT is organizing a 5-day AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy sponsored online faculty development programme (FDP) on ‘Gender Equity: Challenges and Opportunities for Women in Decision Making’ from July 26 to 30.

N Vinaya Hegde, president, Nitte Education Trust & Chancellor, Nitte Deemed to be University, will inaugurate the programme. The FDP aims to provide a platform for comprehension for all genders and professionals to unapologetically revise their views, reviews, opinions and analyses on gender issues. The FDP covers contents like decision-making modes and challenges, women in education, women mental health, role and progress of women in technology, performance of women as an administration, medicine and nutrition in diet, legal access of law by women and stress management by the experts from various institutions and industries. A total of 14 sessions have been planned during this event. Dr Anitha Marina Colaco, associate professor in the department under the guidance of Dr Nagesh Prabhu, head, department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, will be coordinating this FDP.
