Bengaluru, Jul 6: Karnataka on Tuesday, Jul 6 registered 3,104 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 40,016. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally is 715.
As many as 92 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Tuesday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 15 deaths and Ballari 6. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 35,526.
The state recorded 4.992 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 27,84,030.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,59,595 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 2.65% while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.96%.
As many as 2,44,22,028 people have received vaccination so far.
