Jul 5: Dakshina Kannada reports 265 new Covid cases, 12 deaths; Udupi records 106 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 5: Dakshina Kannada on Monday, Jul 5 reported 265 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 3.43%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 10,85,162 samples have been tested so far, out of which 9,91,090 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 94,072, out of which 3,245 are currently active.

As many as 427 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 89,572.

The district recorded 12 deaths due to coronavirus on Monday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,255.

The district administration has collected Rs 95,52,417 in fines for 78,394 mask violations. 

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 3,27,416 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 106 new cases were reported on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 43,300, out of which 837 are currently active.

A total of 90 patients were discharged from hospitals on Monday, taking the total number of recoveries to 42,256 for the second wave.

The second wave of coronavirus has claimed 207 lives in the district.

    This is the beginning ... Just wait n see much more to come .... Mumbai bus services is started .. as per state government RTPCR test certificate is mandatory .... Can any one have a proof that these bus serives companies are following this instruction ???????..... If not big reson to worry ....
