Udupi, Sep 6: The orientation programme was held at the newly-established Madwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management, Vishwottam Nagar, Bantakal, near here on Monday September 6. The Institute is promoted by Sodhe Vadiraja Education Trust.
Srinivas Tantri Padigar, chairman of Sodhe Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust inaugurated the programme.
Speaking at the occasion, the trust secretary Ratnakumar said that 58 students have enrolled to study in the Institute, out of which 6 have passed in CET. The Institute aims to be one among the premiere institutes in the nearest future, with the active co-operation of students and their parents, also of trustees, said Ratnakumar.
Ratnakumar further said that the trust owns 70 acres of plot while the Institute lies in 10 acres. The trust has future plans to develop the campus with state-of-the-art facilities.
The classes will begin at the Institute from Monday September 13, while the grand inauguration of building complex will be held in February 2011, added secretary Ratnakumar.
Trustee Raghavendra Tantri was also present.
Principal Professor S K Ashok Kumar welcomed the gathering.
