Udupi, Sep 3: Fasting is good for health, especially the way it is dome during the month of Ramadan. However, eat in limit while breaking the fast, said Dr Maya Roche.
She was speaking at the Sauharda Iftar Party organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, women's wing and GIO at Baliga Arcade here, recently. "Right way of fasting can prevent many ailments, she observed.
Speaking on the occasion, district health and family welfare officer Dr Vanajakshi, guest said that mothers should help children become good citizens by inculcating right values of Islam in their wards.
In her presidential address, Qulsum Aboobacker of Humanitarian Relief Society said that the Holy Quaran preaches all the practices for a good living, personally and in society. However, harmony among various religions is the need of the hour for a country to be considered as role model. Therefore, understanding each other's religion and respect for the same are the most improtant, she stressed.
