Udupi, Jun 22: People in the country suffered due to the financial instability following the second wave of Covid-19.

Mainly, people in the education sector received a massive blow. Students and teachers are facing problems following the government's unscientific policy. Teachers are suffering, as they do not get salaries at the right time due to mutual coordination between government and private school administrative committees. Immediately, the government should intervene in this regard and solve the problem, demanded Udupi District Unit of Student Islamic Organisation (SIO).

Speaking during a press meet, SIO campus secretary Dr Faheem Hoode said, "Students are deprived of academic activities. Students in rural areas are deprived of education, as there is no proper internet connection for online classes in the rural areas."

"Students at homes are under mental pressure. In such a situation, the government should intervene. The government should provide proper compensation every month for the private school teachers, as the private school authorities do not pay them salaries.

"Private schools are terminating school teachers, hence, the government should intervene to stop this. The government should provide facilities for the online class, like mobile and data connection. The government should provide textbooks to school students on time. Especially migrant students are deprived of education, hence, the government should hold a survey to ensure that the school students are not deprived of education.
