Sullia, Jun 19: Jayaprakash, a native of Arantodu Merkaje in the taluk, who was working as an engineer in New Zealand died due to illness on the night of Friday June 18. He was 45.
Jayaprakash was hospitalised three months ago. It was known three weeks ago that he is suffering from a brain tumour. The doctors were making preparations to conduct surgery on Jayaprakash when he slid into a coma and died late in the night.
Pushpa, wife of deceased Jayaprakash is also with him in New Zealand. She gave birth to a baby boy just five weeks ago. The couple also have an elder daughter who is just six years old.
Jayaprakash had worked as an engineer in Dubai, Australia and Singapore before moving to New Zealand two years ago. Indian associations in New Zealand including Kannada Sangha and Videsh Vibag of BJP are extending their support to Pushpa during this moment of grief.
Jayaprakash was the son of Merkaje Ananda Gowda and Devaki couple, residents of Kallumutlu of Arantodu in the taluk. He is survived by parents, brother Umesh and Dhananjay, sister Pushpavati Yashochandra Paramale, wife Pushpa and children Shravika and Shravan.
