Mangaluru, Jun 14: The department of Languages (English) of Milagres College under the Quality Enhancement Initiative of IQAC, on June 14 from 2.00 - 3.00 pm organized a virtual student capacity building programme (SCBP-10), titled ‘Writing a Good Answer- Structure and Presentation’ for the I, II, and III year students of BCom, BScHS, BScFND, BScIDD.

The resource person was Dr Charles V Furtado, vice-principal and associate professor of English of St Aloysius Evening College, Mangaluru. Addressing the students his focus was how to write a good answer for the examination, the pattern to be followed and not to deviate from the topic. He asked the students to make an impression through their writing skills which needs to have a beginning, middle and conclusion. The necessity of using good vocabulary and practical hints to come up with a good answer was highlighted.

IQAC coordinator, Denzil D Costa, took the initiative in conducting the session conducted through the Google Meet platform and YouTube Live. Around 145 students participated in this skill-enriching session. The involvement of the participants could be measured when they raised thought-provoking inquisitive queries which were replied with equal clarification. The students were issued E-certificates.

Principal Fr Michael Santhumayor, welcomed the participants. Prof Lourdusamy, coordinator of the session expressed words of gratitude and Nayana K, HOD of Languages, introduced the resource person and compered the programme.
