Udupi, Jun 5: The NCC unit of Shirva, St Mary's College, celebrated World Environment Day by planting saplings in the courtyards of their homes.
The college NCC unit officer Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar symbolically planted a sapling and motivated the youth to take part in such activities to increase the nature imbalances.
Dr Herald Ivan Moni, principal of the college conveyed his best wishes.
NCC unit assistant co-ordinator Yashoda, a senior cadet under officer Ramadas, junior under officer Pravita Acharya and Rion Rishi Alphonso and all the cadets participated in the programme.
