Bantwal, May 13: “Eradication of coronavirus is our priority. Act responsibly, leave politics aside and join hands with the government,” urged Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulipady.
He was speaking at a task force committee meeting at Veerakamba panchayat on Thursday, May 13.
“There is a 32% achievement in vaccination at Veerakambha village. Everybody should get vaccinated on a priority basis whenever the vaccines are available. There is no question of laxity with regard to corona. The task force committee has the authority to take action if people do not cooperate. Let us all jointly get rid of coronavirus,” he said.
He obtained details from the health assistant who informed that out of 34 positive cases at Veerakambha 32 are active. 31 are under treatment at their residences and one person is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi SR said that people arriving from outside the district, state or from abroad should be made to remain in quarantine at least for a week.
Taluk panchayat EO Rajanna said that making the village Covid free is the main intention of the task force committee and there should be awareness in every house about observing Covid protocol.
Veerakambha gram panchayat president, Dinesh, vice president, Sheela Nirmala Veigas, taluk panchayat member, Geetha Chandrashekar, BUDA president, Devadas Shetty, PDO Girija P, village accountant, Kiribasappa, revenue inspector, Rama Katipalla, MLA war room’s Devappa Poojary, Ananda Shambhoor, Yashwant Naik, Deviprasad Shetty, task force committee members and officers were present.
