Mangaluru, Jan 11: Chief minister Siddaramaiah extended solace to the families affected by a tragic LPG cylinder blast incident in Manjanady village, Ullal taluk, by distributing compensation cheques.

The incident claimed the lives of three members of a single family — Khateejathul Kubra, Zalaika Mehdi, and Salma Majia.

On behalf of the victims, the chief minister handed over compensation cheques of Rs 5 lac each (a total of Rs 15 lac) to their family members.

It may be recalled, a mother and her three children sustained serious injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at their home in Kandika, under the Manjanady village limits on December 8, 2024.
