Beltangady: General health checkup camp held at Modankap Carmel College

Beltangady, Mar 1: A free general health check-up camp for public was organized by NSS and Youth Red Cross unit of Carmel College, Modankap, at college campus in association Lions Club, Bantwal on February 26. Health check-up was done by 25 members of Father Muller Multispecialty Hospital, Thumbay, under the initiative of Dr Kiran Shetty, medical superintendent.

Free medical examinations under six departments general medicine, ENT, Eye, OBG, Dental and Ortho along with free blood sugar, blood pressure tests were provided by the hospital.

Chief guest Fr Sylvester Vincent, administrator, Father Muller Hospital Thumbay inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. In his message, he appreciated Carmel College and Lions Club for rendering services to the public. Lions Club president Ln Krishna Shyam, PMJF thanked the college for its continuous cooperation with the Lions Club in their service activity. College principal Dr Sr Latha AC, Sr Maria Priya AC, joint secretary, Sr Naveena AC, Carmel Composite PU College principal, Lions Club treasurer Lns Nisha Ashirvad, Boliyar gram panchayat president Smt Jecintha Dcunha, NSS officer Madhura and YRC unit officer Vinitha were present on the dais. A total 180 people benefited from the health camp.
