Puttur, Feb 22: Students of St Philomena PU College, here, raised the honour of the college on February 20 and 21 by securing a bronze medal in the youth (boys and Girls ) men and women weight lifting and junior men and women weight lifting championship jointly organized by Karnataka State Weight lifter Association and Alva's Education Foundation in Moodbidri.

The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo congratulated the following students and wished them success in life.

2. Vithashree V Gowda ( I SEBA 'A').

St Philomena PUCollege Puttur bags first prize in chess competition

Shubhaprada of I PCMB 'D' section secured first prize in the district-level chess competition and is selected for state-level chess competition. The competition was jointly organised on February 21 by the PU Educational board, Mangaluru and Vivekananda PU College, Puttur.

The principal, Fr Vijay Lobo, congratulated the student for her tremendous achievement.
