Mangaluru, Feb 11: A person has been accused of using obscene language against the former corporator Pratibha Kulai during a live interview on a private TV channel. Kulai had recently made headlines for having offered Rs 1 lac to anyone who sprayed ink on the face of district BJP vice president Jagadish Adhikari, as the latter had made derogatory comments against Koti-Chennaya and also former union minister and senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary.
The accused identified as Avinash Birva took to social media and used derogatory language against the corporator when a live interview session was going on in a private TV channel.
The former corporator, who was offended by the action of Birva appealed to the public to provide her with his mobile number and address.
Earlier, the former city corporator and Congress leader Pratibha Kulai had stirred a controversy by announcing a reward of Rs 1 lac to anyone who blackened BJP leader Jagadish Adhikari's face. She had announced she would pay the amount to any Billawa community youth who did the deed within three days.
However, on February 9, as soon as Adhikari visited the Garodi to offer his apologies for the remarks he made, Pratibha Kulai came live on Facebook and announced that she would spend the amount she had offered earlier on the education of underprivileged children.
