Byndoor: 15-year-old rider dies after bike rams into divider at high speed

Byndoor, Feb 11: A 15-year-old boy who was riding a bike at high speed hit a road divider near Shiroor here and died on the spot. The incident happened at Alvegadde near Shiroor on Thursday February 11 morning.

The ill-fated victim of the accident was Aaron (15). He was from Hadavinakone nearby.

As per information, Aaron was caught riding the bike without a driving licence last week by the Byndoor police and fined. They had also taken away the bike to the police station and kept it with them for two days after which his mother was summoned to the police station and given the advice to abide by the provisions of law.

But Aaron again rode the bike on Thursday. Sources said that as he was riding at a high speed, he lost control and hit the divider and died on the spot.

Byndoor station house officer, Sangeetha, and staff visited the spot.

A case was registered in Byndoor police station in this connection,

    We cannot blame parents. Controlling teenagers is not a easy task. The mother might have tried her level best but when the child demands too much and give false promise the mother would be helpless. I tried to take away the phone from my son but could not succeed

    Who is to be blamed here? I say 100 percent parents. Do not give your only child or for that matter two -the key to the vehicle. First of all he is just 15 and never had driving license. It is not important for 15 year old to know how to ride but it is the responsibility of parents and they are responsible for the societies well being. Parents of young kids (minors) not only putting their own kids into problem but they are responsible for others safety on the road, if their minor kids happen to cause harm to another individual. How it is important "do not drink and drive" equally important " do not drive without license"

    A mother is an excellent 'manager' of her children before they turn 12... ...after the age of 12, I don't think I have seen a case where the children pay any attention to what their mother is saying. But quite a few mothers kick out their husband before the children turn 12.

    Just imagine for a moment, if his byke dashed to any other byke, car or padestrians!!! 15 year old riding motor byke without the licence and at a high speed. This is not the single case, there are/will be many more such Arons.

    Makes one so sad to know the death of this young boy.I ask why did the mother /parents hide the key once they know his passion for the bike.Am sure he must have taken out the bike without the knowledge of home people .God,may his soul rest in peace,forgive him his mistake.Heartfelt sympathy to the family .May God give enough strength to bear the pain.

    Chandu Karla,can you please tell me where is the mistake of our law?When he himself didnt abide to law to ride without licence at his age ,even after police caught him previous day?How many young boys lost their life with bike ?Why did his parents give him bike before making licence?and at this age?why did they allow him again ?Dont care policy?Now parents will realize the utter mistake of giving him.Too late .To loose a young boy at this age is heart rendering.Parents please take care of your young boys.It s not a prestige to give a bike to them and ride like a hero without laws and licence.Heartfelt sympthy to the family.Children too should learn to obey parents and laws.Hope parents dont get problem with Police now for giving him to ride.

    RIP. At preent electric two wheelers are available that can be used as they won't go beyond 40kms per hour and they don't require RTO registration..etc According to the dealer's 15+ are allowed to ride them. It would be like riding a bicycle.

    Its a pity that when money comes from the gulf, culture and common sense are not part of it. A lot of these parents are primarily responsible for the deaths. The way they bring up thier children with materialistic goods without even instilling values or even morals. A bike for a 15 year old? Whos this parent?

    Very sad news. Even though parents take care they cant keep eye on kids for 24 hours. Hence we cannot blame parents 100 percent. I agree it parents mistake to give bikes to youngsters, but they cannot be after their kid all the time. God save every one. I request POlice also to keep strict vigilence on high way and catch youngsters if found riding bike.

    Dear, Let us not be so harsh...……..she has lost her young son. No parent will give bike to their children to die on road. This case, may be son took the bike again, without his mother permission. May his soul rest in Eternal peace and May Almighty grant strength to mother to bear the loss.

    Parents are responsible for the death of the kid. When the police has warned the kid's mother they should have been careful. Kids have boiling blood and if not counselled properly might do blunders.

    Parents are main reasons for this accident, what kind of parent would give a 15yr old to ride a Yamaha R15 V3 sports bike ?????? that's a 150cc fast track bike. Am very much saddened to see this news a young kid lost his life. as am a biker for past 25 yrs, we ride responsibly with full gear. traffic police did a right thing, but traffic police in managlore need to catch motorists on rural areas as these kids are often seen in that area without helmets & DL but here cops are waiting near busy city intersections halting every motorists wasting our time despite we have full records.
