Mangaluru: National webinar on financial literacy held at Milagres College

Mangaluru, Jan 29: The department of Commerce and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in association with the Bombay Stock Exchange on January 28 organized a national webinar in its decennial year titled ‘Financial Literacy and Investment Awareness’.

The resource person of the webinar was Professor Chaitanya S Kittur, assistant professor of the department of MCom, JSS Dharwad. He shared his thoughts on how students can invest, manage money, create wealth and plan a budget. In order to have a better standard of living aspects like financial planning, a study of various financial schemes and network marketing plans are to be better known.

Fr Michael Santhumayor, the principal of the college welcomed the participants and, in his message, referred to not only the role and importance of money but various possibilities to make investments for a better future.

The students of final year BCom actively participated in the webinar which was hosted on the Google meet platform.

Eva Manorama, head of Commerce Department, introduced the speaker.
Cassin Rodrigues, the vice-principal proposed the vote of thanks and compered the webinar.

The webinar was planned with all technical assistance by an expert team led by Denzil D’Costa and Roshan Coelho from the department of Hospitality Science.
