Beltangady, Jan 22: A webinar on ’Role of NGOs in implementation of CSR ‘ was on January 22 organised by the department of PG studies in Commerce and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar on 22 January 2021.

Resource person, Steevan D'Souza, research scholar at Srinivas University explained the relevance of CSR in modern society, CSR activities, projects, programmes and schedules, CSR committees etc. He also emphasized the role of NGOs in the development of society and implementation of CSR in the form of promotion of education, eradicating poverty and hunger, development of slums etc to the students. Nearly 200 students participated in this webinar.

Pavana Rai, the coordinator from the department of PG Studies in Commerce in her presidential remarks emphasised that CSR is the practice for every modern-day firm and it is every individual's responsibility to be aware of such and in this regard youngsters are motivated to serve better in society. Final year MCom student, Anushree introduced the resource person and welcomed the gathering, Deepthi proposed the vote of thanks and Vaishali compered the programme.
