Panaji, Jan 1: The state recorded 85 fresh cases of coronavirus infections. With 75 recoveries and two deaths, the tally of active cases rose to 938 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the mortality count rose to 740 with the death of two men, both of whom had comorbidities. The state witnessed 30 hospital admissions and 50 patients home isolated during the day. The month of December recorded relatively less Covid casualties as compared to November.
Compared to November, a 60% drop in mortalities was observed. Goa has reported a total of 51,066 cases, and 49,388 people have been cured.
