Moodbidri, Dec 23: Christmas is the festival which inspires the spirit of caring and sharing. Carmel School CBSE, here, celebrated Christmas with great splendour and enthusiasm in the school campus on December 23.

The entire campus was adorned with Christmas decorations – Christmas tree, crib, gifts and stars. The walls of the school glowed with colourful stars. The crib on the school premise was the main attraction. Everyone in their attire adorned with red and black added beauty to this joyous season.

The day’s programme commenced by invoking the Almighty God with an inspiring prayer service. Sr Premal AC welcomed the gathering. The teachers danced to the tunes with their enchanting rhythmic steps. A group of teachers melodiously sang the Christmas carols in different languages and spread the fragrance of Christmas season. The school administrator Sr Elena AC in her Christmas message invited everyone to spread love, peace, joy and imbibe the true spirit of Christmas namely, loving, sharing, caring and giving.

To inculcate the spirit of sharing, the staff celebrated Christmas friend by presenting gifts and wishing them Christmas filled with love, happiness, peace and hope. The programme ended with a sumptuous meal. It was indeed a joy-filled day for everyone.
