Mangaluru, Dec 19: St Agnes College (Autonomous) on December 18 from 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm organised a webinar on 'Career Prospects in Business Communication'.

Amith Prabhu was the resource speaker. He is the co-founder of India’s only weekend offsite summit for the profession – PRAXIS under the aegis of The PRomise Foundation, which is a member of Global Alliance (GA). He is on the international board of GA. He writes the longest running weekly online column on Public Reputation and it features on Reputation Today – the first 52 of which were published as a book in 2015. He is the founding dean at the School of Communications & Reputation (SCoRe) in Mumbai. He has a Master’s in Public Relations and Communication Management from Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune.

The webinar was live-streamed on the YouTube channel. More than 150 participants actively took part in the session. The inaugural programme started with a short prayer. Dr Neethu Suraj, dean of Commerce and Business Administration and convenor of the webinar welcomed and introduced the resource speaker. Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal of St Agnes College (Autonomous) extended her good wishes. Andrea D'Souza, vice-president of Business Administration compered and moderated the whole session. The main objective of the webinar was to help students gain awareness about careers in business communication.

The forum was also open for questions. The resource person clarified the respective questions raised by the students. Prerna, the vice-president of Commerce delivered the vote of thanks.
