Puttur: Faculty Development Programme on emotions, attitude, performance held at SPPUC

Puttur, Dec 18: St Philomena PU College, on December 17 organized a Faculty Development Programme on emotions, attitude and performance at the Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall.

The workshop was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp.

The president, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, correspondent of St Philomena institutions said, "Time heals everything. We should have newness in life as it gives us more joy. Lecturers must inculcate new methods in teaching." He motivated the lecturers to have inner strength and desired them to grow together.

The guest of honour, Fr Dr Antony Prakash Montheiro, the campus director and chairperson of PG Studies said that everyone has inner strength. He advised the lecturers that they should not only impart knowledge to the students, but also try to inspire them by their knowledge and attitude. He motivated the lecturers to be emotionally and spiritually strong and said to be different from other human beings.

The resource person, Dr Sudheer K V, the assistant professor from the department of Psychology, SDM College, Ujire enlightened the lecturers on the topics- Self-awareness Identifying emotions, Accurate Self Perception, Student Counseling and Mentoring, Teacher Performance Appraisal.

Principal, Fr Vijay Lobo welcomed the gathering. Santhosh Clarence D'Souza from the department of Commerce proposed the vote of thanks and compered the programme.
