Panaji, Dec 8 (IANS): The Aam Aadmi Party in Goa accused the central government of placing Delhi Chief Arvind Kejriwal under house arrest, in order to prevent him from meeting farmers groups on the outskirts of Delhi during the nationwide strike on Tuesday.
"Kejriwal has been kept under house arrest. He cannot meet anyone. Protesting farmers also cannot meet him," Goa AAP convenor Rahul Mahambre told a press conference in Panaji. "We are in an undeclared emergency imposed by the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi because an elected chief minister of the national capital has been kept under house arrest," Mahambre said.
While AAP has accused the Delhi Police of keeping the national capital's chief minister under house arrest, the Delhi Police has denied the charge, calling the accusation false.
