Ajman, Apr 17: Chief Guest H.E Mr. Sanjay Verma, The Consul General of India, inaugurated the 11th Free Mega Health Camp organized by Dubai Indian Islamic Centre in association with GMC Hospital, Ajman. H.E Mr. Sanjay Verma, along with President Mr. Thumbay Moideen, Director Mr. Akbar Moideen, Medical Director Dr. Manvir Singh of GMC Hospital and President of Dubai Indian Islamic Centre were taken on a tour of the entire hospital. He highly appreciated the efforts put in to provide quality medical care at affordable prices. H.E Mr. Sanjay Verma also gifted a special prize to the 1st patient of the camp

In continuation of efforts by GMC Hospital and as part of the humanitarian services of Dubai Indian Islamic Centre, a Free Mega Medical Camp was organized on 16th April 2010, at the premises of GMC Hospital in Ajman. More than 50 specialized doctor, 200 Medical Students, and paramedical staff were present to assist the huge crowd.

The camp provided free consultation in different areas of medicine, such as General Medicine, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Skin, Eye, Dental, Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Diabetic, Pediatric, and Neurology. Apart from the free consultation, deserving patients also received free diabetic test, ECG, Ultra Sound and other lab tests

This Day long program is part of the social responsibilities of GMC Hospital to reach out to the UAE residents to address the health and medical care needs of its communities. Such camps are powerful means to reach out and encourage the public to come forward and diagnose their problems from medical experts under one roof. We are very glad with the success and the endearing response of the public we have received for the camp. This gives us the impetus to conduct more of such camps annually to help serve the community in a healthier way.
